Chelsea could save £23million on their wage bill by selling Romelu Lukaku and Malong Sarr.

offloading one of their highest-paid players, although Lukaku will take a pay cut from £325,000-a-week to £200,000. Sarr, who is
currently on £100,000-a-week since joining from Nice in 2020, has struggled to play and has been sent out on loan to Porto and Monaco during his time at Stamford Bridge. With
Lukaku’s wages removed from his weekly wage bill, Chelsea would save £23million-a-year by offloading the pair. However,

There is the not-so-small matter of the two clubs coming to terms over a transfer fee, however. It’s understood the Blues have a £38m release clause in Lukaku’s contract but would be open to selling for £29.5m.
However, Napoli are said to have baulked at even the reduced fee. Lukaku could be keen on the idea of linking back up with old boss Antonio Conte’s, with whom he won a Serie A title while he was on loan at Inter Milan in 2021.
